Chassahowitzka River.   The Chassahowitzka river is accessible only by kayak, boat, or canoe, and has been designated as one of the state's Outstanding Waters.  Bordering the Chassahowitzka National Refuge which encompasses 35,000 acres of coastal estuaries, rivers, and salt marshes. Wildlife abounds in this federally protected region.  It is home to the Florida Black bear,  manatees, herons, osprey, bald eagles, and many migratory species of water fowl.  
    Custom-tailored, all inclusive tours make it easy to unwind in this gentle paradise.  Encounters with manatees, and dolphin
are common place as is sightings of alligators and Bald Eagles.  Paddle leisurely down the river or explore one of the many

Michael Southern

Michael Southern hails from Washington State. He later spent many years in Chattanooga, Tennessee and parts of Colorado. He now lives, writes and performs in the Tampa Bay, Florida area.
About His Music:   Around 12 years ago Michael began his journey with the Lakota people. High in the mesas of South Dakota he learned the teachings of a medicine man through rigorous ceremonies and sweat lodges. As it were, let's say, he made a trade. Michael chose to give up "a partying lifestyle" for the songs.

Beak’s Old Florida, St. Pete’s most unique tavern, is a casual respite for grownups (over 21 only). We are located in the heart of St. Petersburg’s Midtown on Central Avenue in the Historic Grand Central Business District.
The hallmark of Beak’s cuisine is a remake, with a delicious twist, of tavern favorites and a menu that is ever-evolving.

Our fabulous drink menu is created around premium spirits in the well, craft brews on tap and bottle, and interesting boutique wines. It offers a discriminating variety for imbibing at very reasonable prices. Wines are carefully selected for food pairing and comprised of the best from small boutique wineries. They are modestly prices with only a one-time markup over cost. Many of our wines are featured at $5.50 by the glass.
